Barbara Messner
Barbara is an Anglican priest in the Diocese of Adelaide, now retired. Earlier in her life she has been a teacher, opera singer and surtitle operator for opera. Her ministry experience includes hospital and aged care chaplaincy and supervision, as well as parish ministry in country and suburban parishes. Barbara writes religious poetry and songs, hoping that the results are quirky, questioning and relevant both to social justice issues and contemporary spiritual experience. She has begun taking a performance of her songs and poems to parishes.
